Scott R. Toland served as a Special Assistant to the President and Assistant Staff Secretary during the first Trump Administration. In this role, he traveled with President Trump on Air Force One and briefed him before speeches and document signings. Scott is originally from Iola, Kansas, and he earned degrees in journalism and political science at the University of Kansas before earning his master's degree and law degree from the University of Texas at Austin.  He is a member of the Bar of the State of Texas and the Bar of the United States Supreme Court. Scott now speaks regularly across the country about his experience working in the West Wing of the White House.
